Trimble History Video

2010. This was the first time in 20 years where all the children & grandchildren were together for a holiday. The last time was Pat's last Christmas 1990. Two decades later the old holiday song rang true...
"Through the years we'll always be together..," All of us were there (oldest brother Mike passed away 2006) & his daughter Char who lives out West.

Here is one slide show & the video mixed together or view them separately below:

An upgrade in quality, here are the newly restored Trimble history videos (also seen just below these) now in HD. You may or may not see a difference in quality from the first set due to the film's age & youtube's compression. Each video begins about where the previous one ended:
These eight videos contain all the newly found (original) 8mm films digitally transferred & enhanced. The movies were filmed by Pat & Jim, Ruth & possibly her husband Roy.
The homes movies begin at the Olmstead homestead sometime in the early 1940's in Beaver Falls, Pa., ending with the Trimbles at the lake (AS USUAL), followed by a double exposed 8mm reel filmed in Canada at about the time their home was being built in the mid 1960's.

* Always the prefectionist, these clips were further restored to superior quality:

The unedited B&W 1979 Christmas & 1980 Thanksgiving including the day after akaMary & Larry's wedding. The '79 Christmas is of good quality. The rest runs from shadowy to black.
Why not edit it?
Even when the video is dark, it's great to hear what's going on:

The 1978 B&W Trimble Christmas recorded at 58 Orchard Lane, Hillsdale NJ. Here are two funny clips from that year:

This is unedited VHS film recorded by Jay, Susie & a bit by myself (when you see them in the video in the living room, I'm the one filming). Unlike today's camcorders, you had to keep the TV on so you could better see what you were recording since the camera view finder was small & inefficient. This is why you'll see us looking at ourselves ON TV while being videotaped.
The camera's inability to adjust for low light makes the video at times dark but never before "seen," memories are still there.

Here are the enhanced 8mm movies in chronological order. From their early years at Indiana University to Canada in the 1960s. Each video begins where the one previous to it ends. The quality is (probably) 4th-5th generation. These are from my VHS copy of the original 8mm-VHS transfer master tape (which was lost) .
The original 8mm were found in 2010 & appear above. These remain online as a reminder of what the quality was that we often watched.

I videotaped our kids from 1982 when Kelly was 4 months old followed by Michael to Christopher now 16. That's 28 years of (VHS) home movies. I have preserved them digitally & slowly add a few funny clips to embarrass them for a life time. I often refer to them as the "Bratburgers!" Here they are:

This is a VHS copy thus the somewhat SNOWY quality of what we used to often watch:
