Franny. The Mary & Larry Song.

Our first date & years later...



 

When Mary & I married (1000 years ago), Uncle Franny stood before the crowded room of (crazy) Italians to entertain us with Santa Lucia. To the amazement of our guests he performed it with the great gusto of an Irish tenor.
If you were there you never forgot it, if only because his version consisted of three words, repeated throughout the song. The entire room sang with him. Unfortunately video was new, so there is none available of his classic performance. But to this day, guests still sing his version to us. Many years later he performed a brief encore at Mary's family reunion. His second performance was found captured years before at Susie & Jays wedding.
RECENTLY FOUND! Captured months later at the backyard wedding reception of Mary's sister Susie, Francis Trimble's encore of the Mary & Larry song he performed months earlier at our wedding:
